Explore Downtown Newberry

The Newberry Museum, in collaboration with the City of Newberry, has created a series of mini-posters to commemorate the Colonial Era of America and the Revolutionary War in a way that invites residents and visitors to learn a little bit of history as they walk around the downtown district.

Each mini-poster has a unique theme that relates to the business or organization where it will be displayed.  Themes include historical facts (and fiction), people, events, institutions, products, inventions, and more.  All together, these posters combine as “A Walk Through History”.

A QR Code will connect viewers to the Museum’s website for more information about each poster and its theme.

The Museum is planning a series of walking tours centered on this project, and other activities to engage children and adults as we celebrate the 250th Birthday of the United States of America.
