Join us for a lecture by Steven Knapp, executive director of The Newberry Museum about the first year of the American Revolution in South Carolina.

Lecture about plants and herbs that were commonly used to treat ailments and injuries in the Backcountry of South Carolina during the Colonial era.

Discussion on the different styles of homes in Colonial era South Carolina — from the stately mansions of Charleston to the “Rock House” of present-day Newberry County. Homes were as varied in design and construction as the people who lived in them.
